Yikes. Luckily there will be small(er) children present, so it can't get too graphic, right? This is all part of the process, I suppose: her parents meet his parents and then his other parents, and thus a family is expanded in love and companionship.
It is a little weird doing it this way, though. When the Saturleys met the Cochrans it was easy; everyone was still in shock, an event was already planned, and people were still reveling in holiday festiveness. This is a little more like how I imagined it usually goes, what with the nervous anticipation and questions about formailities and, of course, the parties with strange and suggestive titles.
Actually, it should be fine. My Dad and Wanda are good people, and Kate's folks seem quick to pick up on the decency factor. We're both very into our families, and it's great to be able to bring them together. And there will be wine.
It will probably be good story retelling down the road for sure.
Cheers,
Benji
